Not a government entity

Landlines is an independent application published by HMB Software. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by any government agency, and it does not represent any government entity. All property-boundary, ownership, and sale information shown in the app is public-record data obtained from the official government sources listed below, and it may be incomplete, out of date, or unavailable in some areas. The authoritative record is always the originating government agency.

Every property boundary and public-record detail shown in Landlines comes directly from an official government source — a state GIS program, a county assessor/appraiser office, or an equivalent public agency. Landlines does not create, alter, aggregate, or resell this data; it displays it live from the source and stores none of it on our servers. The specific source for any given parcel is shown on that parcel’s detail screen inside the app. Coverage is partial and grows over time — only the areas served by the sources below are available.

The links below go to each source’s official government (or official government-designated) website. This page lists an official government source for every state and the District of Columbia covered by the app. Where a state publishes a single statewide parcel program, that program is linked; where it does not, parcel data comes from the county / municipal GIS and assessor / appraiser offices within that state (published through the state agency shown), and the specific source for any parcel is named on that parcel’s detail screen inside the app. Coverage is partial and grows over time.

Sources by state

New Mexico, Arizona, and several other states are served through more specific county or agency sources; those are detailed below.

New Mexico — county sources

New Mexico parcel data is published by the New Mexico Office of the State Engineer (in cooperation with county assessors), covering the following counties: Bernalillo (Albuquerque), Catron, Chaves (Roswell), Cibola, Colfax, Curry (Clovis), De Baca, Doña Ana (Las Cruces), Eddy (Carlsbad), Grant (Silver City), Guadalupe, Harding, Hidalgo, Lea (Hobbs), Lincoln (Ruidoso), Los Alamos, Luna (Deming), McKinley (Gallup), Mora, Otero (Alamogordo), Quay (Tucumcari), Rio Arriba, Roosevelt (Portales), Sandoval, San Juan (Farmington), San Miguel (Las Vegas), Santa Fe, Sierra, Socorro, Taos, Torrance, Union (Clayton), and Valencia.

Arizona — county sources

In Arizona, only parcel boundaries and parcel numbers are shown (no owner names or mailing addresses), in keeping with Arizona public-records restrictions on the commercial use of owner information.

Several Arizona county layers are served through the AZGeo Data Hub (State of Arizona) shared parcel services.

Tennessee — county sources

South Dakota — county & local sources

South Dakota has no single statewide parcel program, and Landlines does not cover the whole state — only the specific areas listed here, each served by its own local government GIS / director-of-equalization office:

Landlines does not currently cover Lincoln County outside the Sioux Falls city limits, or any other South Dakota county.

Georgia — county & regional sources

Georgia has no single statewide parcel program, and Landlines does not cover the whole state — only the specific counties listed here, each served by that county’s assessor / GIS office (some via a regional commission or shared hosting). Links go to each source’s public ArcGIS service metadata page or official county GIS page. The Southern Georgia Regional Commission (SGRC) operates the services for Atkinson, Berrien, Coffee, Cook, and Irwin counties.

Corrections & owner removal

Because Landlines displays data live from the government agency of record, corrections to the underlying record must be made with that agency. If you are a property owner and would like your public-record owner name and mailing address suppressed within the Landlines app, email privacy@hmb-software.com with the parcel address or parcel ID.
